SendaOne v0.17.153

Google Maps to Komoot

Komoot can follow a Google Maps route once it is a GPX file. SendaOne turns any Google Maps link into a GPX with the full polyline, your stops and computed elevation — then you import that GPX into Komoot as a tour. No account at SendaOne, no email, no install.

How it works

  1. Share the route from Google Maps. Plan it in any mode, tap Share and copy the link. Short maps.app.goo.gl and long google.com/maps URLs both work.
  2. Convert it to GPX at SendaOne. Paste the link on the home page, keep GPX, click Convert. You get a valid GPX 1.1 file with the polyline decoded, every waypoint preserved and elevation included.
  3. Import the GPX into Komoot. On komoot.com open Plan a Tour and choose Import GPX (or in the app: Profile then Import). The tour appears ready to follow or to sync to your bike computer or watch.

Why SendaOne

Frequently asked questions

How do I import a Google Maps route into Komoot?

Convert the Google Maps link to a GPX at sendaone.com, then on komoot.com choose Plan a Tour and Import GPX. Komoot reads standard GPX 1.1, so the tour arrives with its polyline and elevation — no account at SendaOne.

Does Komoot accept the GPX from SendaOne?

Yes. SendaOne outputs schema-valid GPX 1.1, the format Komoot's import expects, keeping waypoints and elevation. Note that importing a GPX is a Komoot Premium feature.

Why not just plan the route in Komoot?

Komoot's routing is great off-road, but for exact city streets Google Maps is often better. SendaOne lets you keep the precise route Google built and still follow it in Komoot and on your GPS device.

Is it free?

SendaOne is free, with no account and no email; the free tier covers up to ten conversions per day per IP. The GPX import into Komoot itself requires Komoot Premium.
