Terms of Service
These terms govern the use of SendaOne, available at sendaone.com. Using the service implies express acceptance of the clauses below. If you do not agree with any of them, do not use the service.
1. Purpose of the service
SendaOne is a web utility that converts public Google Maps URLs into route files (GPX, KML, KMZ, TCX, GeoJSON, CSV) compatible with consumer GPS devices: Garmin Edge / Fenix / Forerunner, Wahoo ELEMNT, COROS APEX, Suunto, Polar and apps such as Strava, Komoot, RideWithGPS, Gaia GPS, OsmAnd, Locus Map. It is a free service for recreational use.
2. Acceptance
By using SendaOne you accept these terms in full. If you act on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
3. Permitted use
SendaOne is offered for the following uses:
- Personal route conversion (cycling, hiking, running, motorcycling, recreational kayaking) for use on your own device.
- Sharing routes with friends, family or sports-club members.
- Pre-trip planning of recreational outings in areas where Google Maps has coverage.
- Pre-trip backup to an emergency contact via the optional Email Backup feature.
4. Prohibitions
The following actions are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate blocking of your IP and reporting to the competent authorities:
- Automated scraping beyond the public rate limit (20 requests per minute on /convert).
- Reselling the service under another brand without written authorization from the operator.
- Reverse engineering for commercial exploitation or security testing without prior written authorization.
- Safety-critical operational use: aviation, maritime search and rescue (SAR), military operations, emergency response, primary offshore navigation, surveying, land registry.
- Malicious payloads: inputs designed to exploit vulnerabilities, SQLi, XXE, SSRF, etc. Please report bugs through the responsible channel (see /security).
- Identity impersonation when filling contact fields in optional flows (Email Backup, OAuth).
- Violation of third-party rights: using the service to infringe copyright, image rights, trade secret or any local law of the user.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
SendaOne is provided AS-IS, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. The operator does NOT warrant:
- That the service will be available 24/7. Maintenance windows or failures of the underlying infrastructure (Fly.io, Cloudflare, Google Maps API) are possible.
- That generated routes are optimal, safe or passable. The route mirrors what Google Maps would show at that moment; there is no human review or field validation.
- That the downloaded file is fit for use in adverse conditions (bad weather, high mountain, remote area without signal).
- That coordinate or elevation precision exceeds the limits documented at /docs/precision (approx. 5 m horizontal, 10 m vertical).
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall NOT be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive damages or lost profits arising from use of the service, including loss of life, physical injury, property damage or emotional distress. This limitation applies even if the operator was advised of the possibility of such damage. The user assumes full risk of physical activity and of navigation with the downloaded file.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, and for any claim that cannot be fully excluded, the operator's total aggregate liability to the user for any cause related to the service is limited to a maximum of one hundred United States dollars (USD $100). Because this is a free service, this figure reflects a symbolic cap and not a valuation of the service.
The service can export formats for specialized domains: drones (Litchi/DJI), aviation (IGC), marine (NMEA) and binary navigation (FIT). These files are convenience conversions of a route — NOT flight plans, nautical charts or vetted routes. The user is solely responsible for verifying altitude, airspace, restricted zones and every point, and for complying with the aviation, maritime and drone regulations of their jurisdiction. An imported drone mission must never be flown without human supervision and pre-flight review. The operator disclaims all liability for the use of these specialized formats.
Indemnity. The user agrees to hold the operator harmless from third-party claims, damages, penalties and reasonable defense costs (including legal fees) arising from: (a) use of the service in violation of these Terms; (b) the user's breach of third-party service terms applicable to the end user; (c) content or URLs the user submits to the service; or (d) the user's physical, flight, marine or driving activity carried out with the generated files. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim arises from the operator's willful misconduct or gross negligence, and does not limit the user's non-waivable consumer rights (Law 1480 of 2011).
Savings clause. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that applicable mandatory law does not allow to be excluded or limited — including, where applicable, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Where any limitation in this notice is invalid under Colombia's Law 1480 of 2011 (Art. 43), European Union consumer-protection law or other mandatory rule, the minimum liability that the law allows shall apply and the remainder of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
7. Intellectual property
SendaOne is proprietary software of Sergio Marroquin Cabrera. The source code, brand, domain and site content are exclusive property of the operator. Generated files (GPX, KML, etc.) belong to the end user who requested the conversion — provided the original Google Maps URL belonged to that user or was public.
8. Third-party services and links
The service may display links or integrations to third-party services: "Open in Google Maps", "Open in Apple Maps", "Open in Waze", route push via OAuth (Strava, Garmin Connect, Wahoo, Polar, Suunto, COROS), calendar and email. Those services belong to their respective operators and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. The operator does not control them, does not warrant their availability and does not endorse their results.
During the preview, the interface also displays map imagery served by Google Maps (Maps Static API). That content belongs to its provider, is loaded directly from its servers, and is subject to its own terms, policies and attribution requirements (Google Maps Platform).
In particular, when opening a route in a third-party maps service, that provider recalculates the itinerary with its own engine: the result may differ from the converted route, omit intermediate stops and, in the case of Apple Maps links, open in a different transport mode (those links do not support cycling mode). Use of these links is voluntary and at the user's own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for damages arising from the use of third-party services linked from SendaOne. The savings clause of section 6 applies.
Google Maps and Waze are trademarks of Google LLC. Apple Maps is a trademark of Apple Inc. Garmin, Wahoo, Strava, Komoot, Polar, Suunto, COROS, DJI, Litchi, XCTrack and OpenCPN are trademarks of their respective holders. SendaOne is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any of them.
SendaOne includes Google Maps features and content. Use of those features and content is subject to the then-current versions of the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
9. Voluntary contributions (donations)
SendaOne may offer the option to make a voluntary contribution to support the project, by card through a third-party processor or by cryptocurrency. These contributions are governed by the following:
- They are voluntary and buy nothing. The service is and will remain free and identical for everyone. A contribution grants no features, support, priority, license or benefit of any kind, and creates no obligation on the operator to provide, maintain or prioritize any feature. It is an act of pure liberality (a gift).
- They are not an investment. They do not constitute an investment, security, loan, deposit, equity or financial instrument of any kind; they confer no ownership, rights, returns, dividends or expectation of profit.
- Third-party processing. Card payments are processed by Polar Software, Inc. (polar.sh) as Merchant of Record: Polar is the seller to the donor, charges you, issues the receipt, and collects, reports and remits any applicable sales taxes. SendaOne never receives or stores your card data. The contribution is also subject to Polar's terms and privacy policy.
- Crypto: irreversible. Crypto transfers are final and irreversible. The donor is solely responsible for selecting the correct asset (USDC or USDT) and the correct network (Polygon), and for using the exact address. Sending another asset, over another network, or to a wrong address results in the irreversible loss of the funds, with no liability to the operator. The operator does not custody, exchange or provide financial services with crypto-assets; it only receives the contribution at an address it owns.
- Non-refundable. Given their nature as a gift, contributions are non-refundable, except where mandatory law provides otherwise. Any refund of a card payment, where applicable, is handled by Polar under its own policy.
- Not tax-deductible. SendaOne is not a registered non-profit; contributions are not tax-deductible donations. The donor is responsible for any tax obligations of their own in their jurisdiction. The operator provides no tax or legal advice.
- Capacity and lawful source. By contributing you represent that you are of legal age, have lawful authority over the payment method or funds used, and that such funds are of lawful origin.
A voluntary contribution is an act of pure liberality and does not constitute a consumer contract or a sale; no consumer relationship arises between the donor and the operator. Accordingly, the right of withdrawal under Article 47 of Colombia's Law 1480 of 2011 — which applies to the purchase of products or services — does not apply. The foregoing is without prejudice to any mandatory rights recognized by law.
The savings clause of section 6 applies: nothing in this section excludes mandatory consumer rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
10. Service modifications
The operator reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any feature of the service at any time, with or without notice, without liability to the user.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Any dispute shall be resolved before the competent courts of Bogota D.C., with express waiver of any other venue. If any clause is held void, the remaining clauses shall remain in force.
